    Women in Clean Energy MENA (WICE) is an initiative implemented under the umbrella of the MENA Clean Energy Business Council (CEBC). WICE is a group set up by women, for women and wants to provide female professionals and students in MENA’s renewable and clean energy fields with a voice, encourage women into jobs in the clean energy sector and help advance their careers. The program provides a platform for business women to network with peers and to leverage off the experience and knowledge of senior executives and practitioners.

    The first instalment of the WICE Networking Series is a breakfast event on ‘The Role of Women in the Solar Industry’ taking place on 2 March 2016 in Dubai in alignment with Solar Middle East.

    This regional forum in partnership with UNDP and Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) brings together national partners engaged in sustainable energy and water conservation initiatives to capture lessons learned from cooperation in recent years. The forum will review energy and water trends and scenarios in the region, and local best practices and case studies in the energy efficiency and water conservation experienced through IsDB and UNDP assistance projects, including those supported by the Global Environment Facility (GEF). It will also convene regional entities and private sector partners to engage in a dialogue with national partners focusing on how new partnerships are needed to scale-up results and adopt innovative solutions on issues surrounding the energy-water nexus in post-2015 era in the region.
