Managing Director, Energetics
Mr. Ridah Sabouni is the Managing Director for Energetics Incorporated in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region, based out of the Energetics Dubai office recently established in late 2015. In his role, Mr. Sabouni is responsible for growing Energetics business across the MENA region. In his 7+ years working for Energetics from the company headquarters in the Washington, DC area, Mr. Sabouni has gained significant experience leading teams in providing project management, technical, and advanced analyses to support the development of clean energy technologies and best practices. Mr. Sabouni has extensive experience working with a variety of clients, including close work with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Advanced Manufacturing Office, Building Technologies Office, and Office of Electricity, as well as the U.S. Department of Commerce National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST), among others.
Mr. Sabouni’s professional areas of expertise include industrial and commercial building strategic energy management (including the ISO 50001 energy management standard and the Superior Energy Performance energy certification program) and support of clean energy technology research and development (including solar PV, wide bandgap power electronics, and lighting).
Mr. Sabouni is an engineer by training, with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Davis and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Mr. Sabouni is also certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP). Mr. Sabouni has held volunteer leadership positions with Engineers without Borders, Habitat for Humanity, the Network of Arab-American Professionals, and Tau Beta Pi (the American national engineering honor society).
