Clean Energy Business Council wins the Environmental Award 2014

The Clean Energy Business Council “CEBC” has won the Environmental Award 2014, organized by the Arab Organization for Social Responsibility and Tatweej Academy for Excellence Awards, for its achievements in adopting strategies and initiatives towards a sustainable future. CEBC was ranked among the best organizations in support of sustainability and the environment from the United Arab Emirates and was awarded an acknowledgement certificate during the awarding ceremony, which was held following the Arab Environmental Practices Day.

The award came in recognition to CEBC’s efforts in adopting strategies and initiatives towards promoting renewable energy for a sustainable future. In the past year, CEBC’s has organized different events and workshops and launched research papers, which addressed issues such as water and energy efficiency, financing renewable projects and environmental policies. CEBC has also focused on the social impact of clean energy and has created a program that connects entrepreneurs with potential investors hoping to create more job opportunities.

Dr. Nasser Saidi, CEBC Chairman, received the award during the annual ceremony held at Al Murooj Rotana in Dubai, which was attended by renowned international, regional and local policy and decision makers, experts, practitioners and activists in the field environment and sustainability. Dr. Saidi said: “we are horned to receive the Environmental Award for this year, and CEBC is committed to continue its efforts to promote the adoption of clean energy and act as a platform to promote constructive dialogue and collective action by all stakeholders in order to guide public policy and private investment in the region’s nascent clean energy sector”.

The award is created to honor the achievements and successes of the entities and leaders that are adopting practical environment programs, strategies and initiatives, towards a healthy present and sustainable future.
