Anne Mbatia

Finance and Administration Manager

With Experience in both the finance and environmental sectors, Anne began her career in climate change in 2009. Four years’ of experience in carbon markets and finance has tailored Anne into a dependable Finance and Administrative Manager for CEBC.

Anne holds a Masters’ degree in Carbon Finance from the University of Edinburgh, majoring in Energy Finance. She has experience in energy research and policy where she analysed the contributions of policies towards behavioural change in Scotland.

In 2016 Anne moved to Dubai from Scotland to experience the Middle East job market and has worked as an Accounts Associate for Outsource Accountants Services. In this role, she managed a portfolio of 14 small and medium enterprises, and led in all the facets of accounting and financial modelling to identify business opportunities and ensure well-informed business

Anne is a member of numerous African Youth Initiatives and actively engaged in activism and volunteering. In 2011-2014 she volunteered at UNEP Tunza, Nairobi office and was a youth ambassador representing Kenya in environmental summits and working groups. This earned her recognition as an upcoming African woman leader and was awarded the Kenyan MiLEAD
fellows in 2012.
