ENGIE is the leading independant electricity and water provider in the GCC and has also the ambition to become a leading provider of energy services & solutions for smart, safe, efficient and sustainable cities.
To promote Green Mobility in the region, ENGIE will be sponsoring the Middle East’s first Electric Vehicle Road Trip (EVRT) from 29 January to 1 February 2017 in the UAE. The EVRT was an initiative born in Europe and is now building a legacy in the Middle East, with a purpose of accelerating electric vehicle adoption in the region and boost the transition to a low carbon future. The trip will see a fleet of electric vehicles (seven Tesla & three Renault Zoe) cross the seven Emirates, starting in Dubai on 29 Jan and ending in Dubai’s Sustainable City with a full day of conferences, panel discussions, driving experiences and celebration. On the way, several events will take place, including the inauguration of charging stations that will also be supplied by ENGIE and will contribute to creating an infrastructure system for electric vehicle owners and users in the UAE.
More information is available on Global EVRT’s website (http://www.globalevrt.com/) and will be provided on ENGIE stand at World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi from 16 to 19 January 2017.
