Jo Rowbotham

Jo Rowbotham is an energy economist with a 15 year focus of engaging with ministers, officials and the private sector in considering the policy, economics and deployment of clean energy technologies. She is the former head of Ernst & Young’s Power & Utilities Advisory team in the Middle East.

In 2014 Jo set up an independent consultancy to focus on sustainable development in the GCC. She has been resident in the Kingdom of Bahrain since 2011 and she is a member of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce.

Her most recent projects have involved the review of a national conservation and clean energy technology programme, and she is advising on the implementation of a sustainable youth centre programme (both new build and retrofit buildings).

Jo is recognised as a commentator on clean energy, through publications and speaking roles at regional conferences.
