CEBC Climate Insitute
Advancing Knowledge. Informing Action.
The CEBC Climate Institute is the research and intellectual leadership platform of the Clean Energy Business Council MENA, established to generate, curate, and disseminate high-quality, evidence-based knowledge on the critical issues shaping the global energy transition and the broader climate agenda.
Serving as a credible and independent voice at the intersection of energy, environment, and industry, the Climate Institute publishes scholarly articles, research papers, thought leadership pieces, and analytical reports across a wide spectrum of topics, including renewable energy deployment, circular economy principles, carbon markets, climate finance, water sustainability, clean fuels and hydrogen and the decarbonisation of hard-to-abate sectors.
The Institute provides a platform for academics, technical experts, policymakers, and industry practitioners to contribute to the regional and global climate discourse, fostering a culture of rigorous inquiry and informed debate. Its work is intended to complement and inform the practical training delivered through the CEBC Climate Academy, creating a virtuous cycle between knowledge generation and capacity building.
Through the Climate Institute, CEBC reinforces its commitment to positioning the MENA region not merely as a subject of the energy transition, but as an active intellectual contributor to it by shaping the ideas, frameworks, and solutions that will define a sustainable future.
CEBC Climate Academy
Empowering the Transition. Building the Capacity.
The CEBC Climate Academy is the professional learning and capability-development arm of the CEBC Climate Institute, established to equip corporations, industry professionals, and lifelong learners across the MENA region and beyond with the knowledge, skills, and credentials required to navigate and lead the global energy transition.
Recognising that the shift to a low-carbon economy demands not only policy commitment but deep technical literacy and informed decision-making at every level of business and industry, the Climate Academy delivers structured, expert-led programmes spanning climate science, clean energy technologies, carbon capture and storage, water-energy nexus, energy efficiency, and sustainable industrial practice.
The Academy operates through a growing network of world-class institutional partners, including the Global CCS Institute, Wilo’s Water for AI Academy+, and AERZEN ME Engineers Academy, bringing together globally recognised expertise with regional relevance. Its courses range from short executive programmes and professional certifications to in-depth technical training modules, designed to meet the needs of corporate teams seeking to build internal climate competency, as well as individual professionals committed to continuous learning in an evolving field.
All Academy programmes are developed to the highest standards of intellectual rigour and practical application, ensuring that participants leave not only better informed, but better prepared to drive meaningful climate action within their organisations and sectors for a more sustainable future.
