ESB International, the trading name for ESBI Engineering and Facility Management Ltd, is a growing international energy company wholly owned by the Irish state electricity company ESB, a fully integrated power utility established in 1927 with an annual turnover of €3.3 billion and annual sales exceeding 16,000 GWh.
Since 1975, ESB International has worked collaboratively with international clients to optimise the potential of their energy assets and has completed projects in over 120 countries worldwide. We draw on this experience, providing strategic and engineering consultancy to a broad range of international clients. ESB International has developed, designed, project-managed, constructed and commissioned all of the generation plants in the ESB generation portfolio and provides ongoing asset management and engineering services to support the development and enhancement of the Irish transmission and distribution networks. ESB International has particular expertise in the following areas:

For over 45 years, ESB International has delivered international capital and transformational projects from our Dublin headquarters. We also have a 44-year legacy in transmission and distribution in the Middle East, with 100 people based in our Bahrain hub. We have been involved in a long list of network and distribution projects in the country and are still heavily involved in many major energy projects. In Oman, we are working with policymakers and leaders who implement independent power producers (IPPs), de-centralization, and a spot price market. We are currently embedded in the fabric of this diversification on a range of consultancy services ranging from technical advisory to strategic advisory across the entire energy value chain from generation to transmission.
